Jacob Harlan This has quickly become one of my go to albums lately. Haircut is the most entertaining song to me quite a while. Favorite track: Haircut.
Jonathan McCallum

Jonathan McCallum 14 minutes of pop-punk from God's Country. Sounds like your high school mate who used to play acoustic Get Up Kids covers all the time finally started a band, except way better than that. This is a compliment, the EP is good. Favorite track: Haircut.
Rachel Cox

Rachel Cox As I once said about Alex Lahey's Debut EP (And not my own as has been speculated) this EP is five songs and they are 5 Hits. Could really use a synth player though. Favorite track: Haircut.

Track Name: State Of Your Life, Mate
I’m finding it hard to find a way to say “I’m not okay” in the most casual way possible

And how many drives around the block are too many drives around the block?
To get me out, get me out of my own head, or get me out of my own room, or to get me out of the state I’ve been living in for weeks now.

I’ve moved all my shit back into my parents house. The posters are still hung up on the walls, it’s like I never left at all.

I’m so homesick, for where I left and where I crawled back
I’m so homesick, now I don’t know where I am anymore
Baby we passed past my house, maybe I’ll find it alone
I’m so seasick, treading water but never ever coming home
Track Name: Sixteen Months
Expectations are never met so why do I always bet, on hearts that aren't mine to hold? I'll make these mistakes until I am grey and old.
A leaping heart, controlled by an anxious mind.
I'm still waiting on hold, for you to say you're mine.

I remember nights alone, laying in bed with you on the phone. Telling me things I did not want to know. I held my tongue and then I carried on.

A leaping heart, controlled by an anxious mind.
I'm still waiting on hold, for you to say you're mine.
In sixteen months nothing has changed, I'm still falling for you and you don't feel the same.

So what should I do? Should I tell you the truth? I'll just be alone again and I'll just lose another friend.
So I'll hold my tongue for another sixteen months, I will wipe away your tears and I will soothe all your fears.

A leaping heart, controlled by an anxious mind.
I'm still waiting on hold, for you to say you're mine.
In sixteen months nothing has changed.
I'm still falling for you and you don't feel the same.
Track Name: Hotel Spencer
I know you’re trying to sleep, and I toss and turn all night, it keeps you awake. I can’t get comfortable.
But hey, I’m uncomfortable everywhere I go; From a bus stop on Hunter Street, to the sweat dripping down my nose at Southern Cross Station.
I swear my body hates me.

You took me outside so we could be alone, and you shook your head and said I should just got home. I said “do what you’re going to do”. And then you kissed me. You kissed me like you were sorry.

And I’m wandering from streets to stages, from beds to train carriages, I’m wandering.
I’m wandering.

I am 1,028 kilometres from home.
I am the furthest I have ever been on my own.
But I feel safer on this stage that I do back home, watching myself go nowhere in the corner of this room.
And I’m wandering from streets to stages, from beds to train carriages, I’m wandering.
I’m wandering.
I’m wandering.
Track Name: Japan Song
I don’t wanna work today, I’d rather be on holiday
I think I’ll go to Japan with my man, yeah, that’d be kinda cool

All the things that we would see, Osaka to drink sake
Pass out on the bullet train and wake up do it all again

Let's go, time to go,
Hop a plane to Tokyo
Let's go, time to go,
Shinkansen to Kyoto
Let's go, time to go,
Squishy bus ride to Gojo
Let's go, time to go
Go adopt a Totoro
Let's go!

And April brings the cherry trees but you can’t climb Mt Fuji
Guess you can’t have your katsu and eat it too

Let's go, time to go,
Hop a plane to Tokyo
Let's go, time to go,
Shinkansen to Kyoto
Let's go, time to go,
Squishy bus ride to Gojo
Let's go, time to go
Go adopt a Totoro

And I don’t wanna work today, I’d rather be on holiday
I wish I was in Japan with my man, yeah!
Track Name: Haircut
For my birthday you took me to a barber, and you bought me a nice haircut, and i’ve only ever had my haircut by Aunty Kim.
You said it looked real nice, and it made me look real handsome. I think it was a gift for you.

And then the wax and the button-ups helped soothe my self-esteem. I didn’t realise that was something I could be, thank you for seeing that in me.

Cool breeze on my neck.
Warm hand running over it.

On the day that I came back I got my friend to shave my head in the backyard of my parents place.
And I had stray hairs like sore thumbs, and the sideburns were uneven. I took a razor to try and fix it up, and I really fucked up the sideburns.
I really fucked up the sideburns.
I know I fucked it up.
